WOMEN IN TRADING

The research says women trade with an edge most traders skip.

2 of the biggest studies on how men and women invest landed in the same place: women traded less, chased fewer impulse trades and kept more of their returns. Those happen to be the exact habits prop firm rules reward.

THE STUDIES

2 studies, 1 pattern.

UC BERKELEY AND UC DAVIS · 2001

"Boys Will Be Boys"

Brad Barber and Terrance Odean studied 35,000+ households at a large discount brokerage from 1991 to 1997. Men traded 45% more than women and earned yearly risk-adjusted net returns 1.4 points lower. The researchers traced the gap to overconfidence, which showed up as extra trades that cost more than they made.

FIDELITY INVESTMENTS · 2021

Women and Investing Study

Fidelity analyzed 5.2 million customer accounts over 10 years, 2011 to 2020. On average, women's returns came out 0.4% a year ahead of men's. In the same study, only about 4 in 10 women said they felt comfortable with their investing knowledge.

FROM RESEARCH TO RULES

The habits that won the studies pass evaluations.

Prop firm rules exist to reward disciplined trading. Here's how the patterns in the research line up with how a BluSky account works.

● FEWER, BETTER TRADES

Your drawdown floor punishes overtrading

Every impulse trade spends a little of your cushion. Traders who wait for their setup protect the floor that keeps the account alive.

● STEADY OVER FLASHY

Consistency rewards steady days

BluSky's consistency limits how much of your profit goal can come from 1 day. A string of solid days beats 1 lucky swing.

Research link: less overconfidence, fewer home-run bets

● PATIENCE PAYS

Static drawdown rewards a long game

On a Static account the floor never moves, so every winning day adds room. It's built for traders who stack small wins.

Research link: lower turnover kept more of the return

A fair caveat: these studies looked at stock investors, and they describe averages, not individuals. Plenty of men trade with discipline and plenty of women don't. The takeaway is that the winning habits are learnable, and our rules are built around them.

THE CONFIDENCE GAP

The skill is there. Now bring the confidence.

Trading online can feel loud and built for someone else. In our Discord, 10,000+ traders ask basic questions, review trades live every morning and celebrate the boring, disciplined wins. New traders get 50% off their first Launch account with code Welcome26. Patience is a strategy, and ours rewards it.
