STATIC DRAWDOWN, EXPLAINED
A static drawdown is a fixed max loss limit. It is set once from your starting balance and never moves, no matter how much profit you make. The floor you start with is the floor you keep.

THE 3 TYPES OF DRAWDOWN
Every funded account has a floor. If your balance touches it, the account is done. What separates drawdown types is when, and whether, that floor moves.
● STATIC
The floor is set on day one from your starting balance. Every dollar of profit becomes extra room between you and the floor.
Floor moves: Never
Profit adds room: Yes, every dollar
Example: Up $4,000 on a $2,000 drawdown means $6,000 of room
● END-OF-DAY TRAILING
After each session, the floor moves up to sit a set distance below your highest closing balance. Swings during the day do not move it.
Floor moves: At the close, after a new high
Profit adds room: No, room resets to the drawdown
Example: Close at $202,500 and your floor becomes $200,500
● INTRADAY TRAILING
The floor chases your highest balance in real time, open trades included. Profit you never locked in can still raise your floor.
Floor moves: Any new high, even mid-trade
Profit adds room: No, room resets to the drawdown
Example: Touch $203,000 and your floor is $201,000, even if you close lower

FAQ
What is a static drawdown in prop trading?
It is the most your account can fall below its starting balance before it fails, and the level never moves. On a $200,000 account with a $2,000 static drawdown, your floor is $198,000 on day one and stays $198,000 no matter how high your balance climbs.
What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?
A trailing drawdown moves your floor up whenever your balance makes a new high, so your room never grows past the drawdown amount. A static drawdown stays put, so every dollar of profit adds to your cushion.
What is the difference between end-of-day and intraday trailing drawdown?
End-of-day trailing updates your floor once, after the session closes, based on your closing balance. Intraday trailing updates in real time, open trades included, so a winning trade you give back can still raise your floor. BluSky's trailing plans use end-of-day trailing.
Which BluSky plans have a static drawdown?
150K Static (Propel), 200K Static (Launch or Propel) and 300K Static (Propel). In the plan chooser, pick Launch or Propel, then choose a Static balance.
How large can I trade on a static plan?
Static plans have set position limits: 1 mini or 10 micros on 150K, 2 minis or 20 micros on 200K, and 5 minis or 50 micros on 300K.
Does the drawdown change once I am funded?
Each stage of a plan lists its own drawdown. Check the Funded card in the plan chooser to see the rules for the stage after your evaluation.
